A Birdwatcher's Guide to Franconia

What is it? This small guide covers ten profitable site from whole Franconia, including suitable places for Ortolan and Rock Buntings, Collared and Red-breasted Flycatchers. Each site description contains ...

... information on the best season for a visit

... information on probable species

... the access by car and by public transport

... maps and coordinates for better coordination.

It is the first guide of this kind to be available both in German as well as in English. You´ll find some sample pages below.

How to get it? I offer the guide in two forms: As a download and as printed version. You can download the file from this website, see below for that. The printed copy is availabe at cost price (4 €) plus postage. If you´re interested, please send me an e-mail.

What comes in the future? Of course I´m keen on optimizing the guide and would like to hear your opinion on the guide. I was researching very precisely, but I cannot exclude mistakes with absolute certainty. Please use for that the commentary function below or e-mail me. Furthermore, I´m very interested in any ideas for new sites and new information.

Perhaps it will be possible to create a new version of this guide in the future, hopefully with more sites and revised site descriptions.

Well done, and a great guide if you happen to visit Germany (or even make it a target destination).
