Originally I thought I would have no time for birding until the weekend, but fortunately I got time off this afternoon. So I spent two enjoyable hours on the "Kreuzberg" searching for resting
passerines.
And it seemed that especially today a lot of birds were coming through, mostly Tits, Chiffchaffs, Fire- and
Goldcrests, my target species. Although being "easy" to observe and to identify they are much more difficult to photograph
because of their restless behaviour and the twilight of the vegetation. It was however well spent time waiting for a bird to sit down on an exposed branch, for a few seconds at
least.
Additionally I was able to take a picture of an gorgeous Middle Spotted Woodpecker, sadly the light was too poor for a really good shot.
