Today afternoon has been the first time that I've been outside birding since almost two months. Because of the winterly conditions in the valley of the Altmühl I hadn't many options and so I decided to take a walk along the small river. As expected there weren't any special birds, nevertheless the light was beautiful and I enjoyed photographing the abundant common birds. Generally the area has some potential for birding, however the next real hotspots a rather distant. Therefore I hope that I can afford a trip to the "Neues Fränkisches Seenland" somtime in the next two weeks, where currently the most interesting birds are spotted.
